OFFICIAL SPEECH BY HON. JOHN HECHE, VICE CHAIRPERSON OF CHADEMA (MAINLAND), PRESENTING THE RESOLUTIONS OF THE PARTY'S CENTRAL COMMITTEE

HON.JOHN HECHE 

Fellow members, leaders, and all champions of change,

It is with great respect that I present to you the key resolutions passed by our Party’s Central Committee during its meeting held on May 23rd and 24th, 2025, in Dar es Salaam.

The Central Committee has resolved that our Party must continue providing leadership training at the Zonal and Regional levels, particularly in areas that have not yet undergone such programs. In this phase, the following Zones will benefit from leadership training:

Coastal Zone (Pwani)

Northern Zone (Kaskazini)

Unguja Zone

Pemba Zone

Nyasa Zone

Moreover, in Zones where training has already been conducted, the Central Committee has directed that respective Zone leadership must proceed with training leaders at Constituency, Ward, and Branch levels.

Therefore, my fellow comrades, when you hear noise or propaganda that CHADEMA is dying or inactive, do not be misled. The reality is that significant work is underway. These training programs are ongoing in every Zone and will continue because we are a wellspring of skilled, capable, and ethical leaders — and we have proven that time and again.

Myself and our Secretary General, Hon. John Mnyika, are part of the second generation of CHADEMA. We were raised through this system of mentorship and training, and I never imagined I would reach where I am today. That is the power of investment in leadership development.

The Central Committee recognizes the importance of these programs and has reaffirmed that they must continue at all levels. Together, we are building a strong, resilient CHADEMA — ready to bring true transformation to our nation.
