Muttamwega Bhatt Mgaywa Picks Nomination Forms for Tanzania Presidency under ADC

 Former Member of Parliament for Mwibara Constituency, Muttamwega Bhatt Mgaywa, has officially collected nomination forms to contest for the presidency of the United Republic of Tanzania under the Alliance for Democratic Change (ADC) party. The event took place at the party’s headquarters in Buguruni, Dar es Salaam.

Mgaywa stated that his decision to run for the presidency was influenced by numerous requests from ADC members and Tanzanians who believe in his capability and political experience. He emphasized that having served as a Member of Parliament and twice as a presidential candidate, he brings a wealth of experience to the race.

Despite receiving offers from various political parties to run under their banner, Mgaywa affirmed his decision to vie for the presidency through ADC, noting that he believes the party aligns best with the current political needs of Tanzania.

Speaking before handing over the nomination forms, ADC’s Secretary-General Hamad Aziz and Mainland Vice-Chairperson Hassan Mvungi expressed their commitment to supporting Mgaywa. They congratulated him for stepping forward and assured that the party will continue upholding the principles of justice and democracy.
