TMA Issues Warning: Heavy Rains Expected in Some Areas

 The Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) has released the official forecast for the 2025 Masika rainy season. According to their statement, many areas in the northeastern part of the country, as well as eastern parts of Mara and Simiyu, are expected to receive normal to above-normal rainfall.

However, regions such as the northern coast, northern Kigoma, and the Lake Victoria basin are expected to experience below-average rainfall.

TMA has also warned that even in areas forecasted to receive average rainfall, there is still a possibility of heavy downpours, which could lead to impacts such as flooding, damage to infrastructure, and crop loss. Citizens are urged to stay updated with weather reports and take early precautions.
